About Bodhi:

Bodhi is not only a working service dog, but also the foundation stud of our program. He is Max’s nephew and grew up alongside him, reflecting the same admirable traits: loyalty, stability, and a soulful connection to people.

Athletic and well-balanced, Bodhi carries correct bone, square proportions, and a gentle, confident presence that align with ALAA and WALA breed standards. His physical soundness is matched by his affectionate and intuitive temperament — steady, people-oriented, and easy to train. Bodhi’s natural emotional intelligence and service dog work demonstrate the reliability and versatility we strive to preserve in our breeding program.

Color & Coat:

Bodhi is black with subtle seal shading and faint ghost tan points visible in certain lighting, giving his coat depth and richness. His fleece coat is soft, wavy, and low-shedding, making him a classic example of the Australian Labradoodle.

Stud Services Available:

Bodhi is available to approved, health-tested breeding programs. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethics, health, and care in every pairing.

Available Services:

  • Live Cover — Conducted in a calm, controlled setting with appropriate handling and supervision.

  • Side-by-Side Artificial Insemination (AI) — Performed locally; TCI or surgical insemination can be arranged through our reproductive veterinarian if indicated.

  • Shipped Semen (Fresh-Chilled) — Collected and prepared at our reproductive veterinarian’s office. A brief semen analysis is performed before shipping, and a copy of the report is enclosed with every shipment.

 

Additional Information & Scheduling:

  • Stud Fee: $1,800 USD (subject to adjustment as Bodhi sires additional litters and in recognition of his extensive health testing and role as a working service dog; future fees are expected to align with standard ALAA/WALA stud fees, typically $2,500–$3,500).

  • Health Requirement (Dam): Negative brucellosis test within 30 days of breeding.

  • Stud Testing (Sire): Bodhi is brucellosis-tested prior to each breeding/collection. Last result: Negative — 7/30/2025.

  • Early Notice: Please notify us at the first signs of heat so paperwork and logistics can be set up.

Live Cover — Scheduling

  • Please provide 48–72 hours’ notice as progesterone rises (when ovulation is imminent).

  • Typical plan is two breedings ~48 hours apart, when indicated by timing.

Side-by-Side AI — Scheduling

  • Aim to book 24–48 hours in advance once progesterone indicates ovulation is near.

  • TCI or surgical insemination can be arranged through our reproductive veterinarian if clinically indicated

  • Note: Appointment availability is coordinated with the clinic and may vary.

Shipped Semen (Fresh-Chilled) — Scheduling

  • Overnight shipping is generally available to most locations; weekend/holiday options depend on carrier and clinic availability.

  • Please provide your receiving clinic’s address, contact, hours, and recent progesterone values to time collection appropriately.

Costs & Payments (Vet/Logistics):

  • Bitch Owner pays all veterinary and handling costs related to the breeding: collection, packaging/shipping, progesterone testing, AI/TCI/surgical procedures, pregnancy confirmation, and any weekend/holiday/same-day surcharges.

  • Typical estimates (subject to clinic): collection ~$400–$430; shipping ~$100–$150 (may be higher based on timing/route).

  • These charges are paid directly to the reproductive veterinarian. The clinic may request a credit card at scheduling and charge on the appointment day (or at pickup, if you’re present for side-by-side AI).

  • Shipment handling and tracking are provided; however, airline/courier/weather delays are outside our control.

 

Policies & Guarantees:

  • Repeat Breeding Guarantee: If no pregnancy results (with veterinary confirmation), one repeat breeding is offered at no additional stud fee; all associated veterinary costs remain the Bitch Owner’s responsibility.

  • Semen Use & Storage: Semen is for the contracted breeding only and may not be frozen, stored, reused, resold, transferred, or exported without written consent.

  • Pregnancy Confirmation: Please provide veterinary confirmation (ultrasound/palpation) around days 28–35 post-ovulation, if recommended by your vet.
